Read Me!

Everyone knows that the first object generally taught in Art History 101 as a sign of humans being self-aware enough to model their own image is Venus of Willendorf. (Jeff Koons is obsessed.) No one could handle all that jelly — and she’s only a four-inch-high figurine!

“Why am I denying who I am? So if I’m gonna paint drips, I’m really gonna do drips.'” And now, those drips have afforded her the couple pairs of Chanel. “I embrace that I am really messy,” Joyce Pensato says. “You know, if you have to explain it, it’s not working,” she says with authority.”

Not just in a financial sense, but in these days of totalized capitalism, who you are as a consumer is a reflection of your values. Travel is no exception. Some might even say it’s the original sector in which where you go says something about you. Because sometimes dropping cash can be a political act.

hi. hello! how are ya?

I’m a writer and freelance arts, culture and travel journalist who’s a bit here, there, everywhere. I joke, but as a native of Manhattan whose spent 10 years trawling these streets, as well as the museums, interiors, and creative spaces of over 40 countries, I’ve reported on most areas of culture from hidden estates of Europe to treetop hotels in Africa to the insider art scenes of Asia. I also get assigned to profile great artistic and creative minds of contemporary culture! Over the years I’ve helped publications and creators increase their visibility in the public eye, too.

Have a read! Or say hi!
